Jeremy Nickel Cellars 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
A Legacy Rooted in Napa Valley
Jeremy Nickel Cellars is more than just a winery—it’s a tribute to Napa Valley’s rich winemaking heritage. Founder Jeremy Nickel carries forward the legacy of his father, Gil Nickel (1939–2003), who established Far Niente Winery in 1979 and later launched Nickel & Nickel in 1997, both of which set new standards for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. Inspired by this deep-rooted tradition, Jeremy crafts wines that reflect the power and prestige of Oakville’s most celebrated terroirs.
The estate’s vineyard house, an elegant and historic residence, sits in neighboring proximity to To Kalon Vineyard, as well as renowned estates such as Futo, Promontory, Harlan, and Bond, placing Jeremy Nickel Cellars at the heart of Napa Valley’s most prestigious Cabernet-growing neighborhood.
2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
Crafted with meticulous care, the 2018 Jeremy Nickel Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold expression of Oakville’s renowned terroir.
Tasting Notes
Lush and expressive, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with deep aromas of blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry, layered with notes of violet, graphite, and baking spices. The palate is full-bodied and structured, revealing flavors of ripe blackcurrant, espresso, and dark chocolate, with hints of vanilla and toasted oak from extended barrel aging. Fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity create a balanced, long, and lingering finish.
Winemaking & Vintage
The 2018 growing season in Napa Valley was nearly ideal, allowing for optimal ripening and extended hang time. Sourced from prime vineyards in Oakville, this Cabernet was aged in 100% French oak barrels, resulting in a wine that balances power with finesse and has the ability to age gracefully for years to come.
A Collector’s Vintage
Whether you're adding to your cellar or indulging in a special evening, the Jeremy Nickel Cellars 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a remarkable tribute to Oakville’s world-class terroir and the rich legacy of Napa Valley winemaking.
